Project Background :

The all-inclusive objective of the project encompasses the development of 100, 000 ha irrigated areas in the Macina hydraulic system as well as the construction of ancillary infrastructure. The project will contribute to the economic development of Ségou region in particular, and Mali in general. The specific objective of the project is the completion of Summary Preliminary Draft Stuties, Detailed Preliminary Draft Studies and preparation of Bidding Documents for hydro-agricultural development works of the first portion of 25,000 ha in the Macina hydraulic system, as well as the construction of ancillary infrastructure including urbanization and animal husbandry.
