Project Background :

PRS II (Regional Solar Program) is the second step of a European Union-funded program in CILSS (Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel) countries.  PRS II objective focuses on the sustainable improvement of drinking water quality and supply for populations.
Project’s physical actions relate to:

• Rehabilitation of forty-seven (47) existing boreholes on PRS I sites;
• achievement of forty-three (43) new Solar Drinking Water Supply Systems (AEPS); 
• and Completion of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of the project.
